It was nearly too much for me - I found myself wincing from time to time when one of the movies ornate props seemed about to bean me - but in the end I was won over, I guess. The story involves the education of Henry Rollins, a British bank clerk of the T. Eliot type who has taken to raising dahlias instead of poems. He is startled at his mothers funeral by an unexpected apparition - his long-lost Aunt Aug. Travels with My Aunt. Just better. He travels first with her to Brighton, where he meets one of his aunt's old acquaintances, and gains an insight into one of her many past lives. Here a psychic foreshadows that he will have many travels in the near future.
